About Pony Express Council

The Pony Express Council prepares young people for life!

The Pony Express Council is a leading premier youth development organization encompassing the 18 counties of northwest Missouri and northeast Kansas. Our focus is on youth leadership, character development, and citizenship training. All of this and much more is accomplished through real life and outdoor experiences.

Over 3,700 Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA, Ventures, and Explorers are involved in the overall Scouting program on an annual basis. The programs are supported by more than 1,200 adult volunteer leaders and chartered to local community groups and religious institutions.

The Pony Express Council is strengthened by our local camp property, Camp Geiger. This resource is home to more than 1,500 Boy Scouts and 500 Cub Scouts who camp each year and call camp Geiger their home.
