Who may attend? Today’s Wood Badge is for all leaders in the Boy Scouts of America. It has been developed for Cub Scout, Boy Scout, and Venturing leaders, as well as Council and District leaders. The course content and leadership principles introduced apply to Scouters of all leadership positions and will provide a common foundation of leadership skills to be used throughout all program areas.
Qualifications to attend: Each Scouter invited to participate in Wood Badge training must be at least 18 years old, be a registered member of the Boy Scouts of America, and have completed the basic training courses for their current Scouting position. They must be physically cleared by a physician and present a completed BSA medical form.
What is Wood Badge? Wood Badge is designed primarily to further the training of adult leaders in the Boy Scouts of America 9BSA). Participants team techniques that make them better leaders and they learn how to lead groups to achieve ojbectives. Many Scouters consider Wood Badge to be the peak experience of their Scouting careers.

Where and when is the course offered? At Camp Geiger, Pony Express Scout Camp near St. Joseph, MO. The Course is two weekend sessions for a total of 5 days, tentatively scheduled for April 5-7 and April 27-28, 2024.
What is the cost? $225 with a $100 minimum registration deposit.
